On October 3, 2016, I received the 2016 award for Film and New Media at the Vancouver Mayor’s Arts Awards, held at the Roundhouse Community Centre. Many thanks to friends and family who joined us for event, expertly hosted by Bill Richardson. Part of my nomination includes choosing an Emerging artist in your field. Many Vancouver artists will have already met Sebnem Ozpeta, a rising star who was absent for the ceremony as she was working with Lisa G Nielsen on a Digital Storytelling Workshop in Bella Bella BC.
